We are delighted to offer holistic nutrition services at our practice. Our holistic nutritionist takes a personalized and comprehensive approach to wellness, focusing on the underlying causes of your health concerns rather than merely treating the symptoms. Our services include customized nutrition plans, lifestyle coaching, and supplement recommendations, all designed to help you achieve optimal health and wellbeing. We’ll work with you through any dietary restrictions, whether you’re vegetarian, pescatarian, or follow a gluten free or celiac diet.
We believe that every person's journey to health and wellness is unique, which is why we offer personalized care tailored to your specific needs. Our holistic nutritionist will work with you to create a plan that addresses your goals and concerns, helping you to cultivate sustainable habits surrounding food, sleep, and stress management. She is currently seeking new clients and offers flexible availability 5 days a week with in-person or online availability.

Meet Nakisa Saxton
Nakisa Saxton earned her diploma in 2020 as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners and has practiced as a holistic nutrition consultant in Toronto for three years. Her areas of expertise include digestive care, inflammatory conditions, nutrient deficiencies, disease prevention, stress management, and meal planning.
The philosophy of holistic nutrition is that one’s health is an expression of the complex interplay between the physical and chemical, mental and emotional, as well as spiritual and environmental aspects of one’s life and being. If an imbalance exists in the body, Nakisa's goal is to identify the root and underlying factors that are causing adverse symptoms. Although symptoms may resemble those of others, the root cause is often unique to the individual. Holistic nutritionists believe in the concept of bio-individuality acknowledging that each person requires unique approaches to attain optimal health.
To achieve this after an in-depth assessment, a range of strategies are employed, including personalized meal planning, medicinal diets featuring nourishing herbs and foods, tailored protocols with natural-sourced supplements (including vitamins and minerals) to address identified deficiencies or current needs, stress management techniques, and lifestyle recommendations.
Offering a safe and compassionate environment where people can share their stories, this space is inclusive, devoid of criticism and judgment. We offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to discuss our services and determine if working with a holistic nutritionist would be suitable for your needs. During this call, I will listen to your goals and suggest ways to achieve them. You'll also have the chance to create an action plan and learn about my ongoing support. This is a pre-consultation opportunity for anyone who hasn't booked an appointment yet.
Personalized Therapeutic Diet Plan
30 Minute Consultation — $80
Can be done in person or online.
In our consultation, we will discuss your main health concern(s), dietary habits, and current lifestyle habits. With this information, I will design a personalized nutritional plan that can help you achieve your desired outcome.
This may involve supplements or other therapeutic approaches to support your journey to better health. The goal is to develop a sustainable plan that fits your lifestyle and empowers you to make informed choices about your health.
Consult Lite
60 Minute Consultation — $100
Can be done in person or online.
If you're not yet ready to commit to our Fresh Start package, but would like a chance to explore what we offer, our introductory option may be just what you need. This includes a one-hour consultation with me, during which I will provide a brief assessment of your overall health and answer any questions you may have. You’ll then receive our Lite Wellness Plan. It's a great opportunity to get a taste of the experience we offer and determine if we're the right fit for you.

First Visit
During this consultation, we will conduct a comprehensive intake covering all aspects of your health, including medical history, current health concerns, dietary regimen, stress levels and lifestyle habits.
Second Visit
The second visit I will have a completely individualized wellness plan prepared for you to help you achieve your personal goals. So you feel super clear on the “why” behind certain recommendations, and confident in how to move forward in implementing them, we’ll go over everything you need to know to use the nutrition, lifestyle, and supplemental recommendations to support you in your healing.
Your Personalized Wellness Plan includes:
A personalized therapeutic recipe booklet designed to your current lifestyle, physiological concerns, and overall goals
Food is not just fuel but also medicine, a nourishing diet is essential for overall health and well-being. By learning how to build solid foundations nutritionally, you'll provide your body with the nutrients it needs to thrive. You'll get personalized recommendations based on your unique needs, goals and biochemistry.
A supplement protocol
Supplements can be a great therapeutic tool that can provide the body with targeted support. While building strong foundations is important – strategic, intentional supplementation can be a great way to move your healing forward, provide additional support, and fill any nutritional gaps.
All clients will receive 15% off the market price of any supplement.
Recommended lifestyle practices, various tools of support and information relevant to your current symptomatic issues.
Lifestyle is a major contributor to our health and wellbeing — this is where we get to really dig into sleep, stress, movement, etc.
We will explore practices that support your nervous system, gut health and metabolism.

Holistic Nutrition is covered by many insurance companies under “nutritional counselling”. It is also often covered by health care spending accounts (HCSA) offered through your insurance provider.
However, as a member of CNNP it is officially confirmed that holistic nutritional counselling is covered by Manulife, iA Financial Group, GreenShield Canada, Equitable Life Insurance and ClaimSecure Inc.
Make sure to check with your insurance provider if you have coverage for this form of treatment or if it may be covered under your HCSA.
